Passion can truly pay off, from selling preloved clothes back in college, to building her own sustainable fashionable clothing, she turned her love in style into a thriving business.

Here are some inspiring words from the owner, Mariened Wong.

Some positive words that have been in my head, especially those who inspired me: “Kung kaya nila, kaya ko din.”

“I am the face of my own brand.” There’s no other model you’ll see, but only my face—doing it all from scratch and modeling my own products.

This was before I got pregnant. 

There’s a reason why our product is a bit higher than the others—“you get what you pay for”—referring to the quality.

Before I hired someone to help me with UFA, I was the only one doing everything—designing, buying fabric and materials, quality checking, shooting the products, social media marketing, and manning my own booth. I told them that “Time management is the key” for everything.

In my written pre-interview, I told them that fashion is my passion, so my heart was truly in it. Building UFA isn’t easy, but when you follow your heart, everything feels so light and happy. 

Passion turns into main income

I decided UFA to be my side hustle only, but in terms of earnings, it is giving me the main source of income.
